the Creator of all things

الله

He is the One Who designed and maintains all creation. He knows all things that exist, everything that has happened, everything that happens, and everything that will happen. He is the Most Merciful, the Most Kind, the source of all Peace and at the same time He is the Most Just and the Most Wise.

In His Mercy, He turned to this corner of creation and bestowed His Guidance. From the beginning of time, Allah has sent to the earth Prophets and Messengers who continued the call to Islam; which means submission to the Creator. His Guidance and Mercy has shown all humanity the ways in which to live as exalted human beings; to bear the attributes of the greatest aspects of civilization. It raises the potentially animalistic, dismal collection of desires and weaknesses; the human being – into a trustworthy, pious, courageous, astute and spiritual individual, who faces life head on and aligns his life totally to the way of Allah; the way of peace.

There is no other Power in this universe, apart from Allah. This is the key factor in Islam. This is the key to the spiritual identity of Muslims, their means to confront difficulties and face sorrow. No person, no government, no embassy, no stone statue, no amount of positive thinking or amulets can change what Allah has ordained to be. Yet, He provides us with the means to access His guidance and protection. This is through prayer; supplication (Du’a). By calling on Allah, the Muslim is enabled to overcome fear, difficulty, sorrow, pain or whatever calamity one faces. Hardship is turned to ease, failure is turned to success. The heart grows spacious and the mind finds peace as it clasps the hand hold of the only One who can help, guide and protect.

The key to the success of the Muslims lies in their obedience to their Lord and their trust in Him. For He is the Knower of the unseen and His promise is always true. He promises help to those who trust in Him and obey Him: from places that we could never imagine.

Basics of Islam

The Creator and the created The busy moments of life cover up the truth of reality as we go unaware through our lives, until death catches up.
